Walking around the botanical gardens in Adelaide was the influence behind this painting. Witnessing such beautiful shapes and colours, how could I not transfer what I saw onto canvas?
If you're looking for something bold, this painting is for you! This painting has bold everything! Bold brushstrokes, bold colour, bold direction. It doesn't hold back but neither do botanical flowers. They don't shy away from their strong colour and lines.
The edges to this canvas are painted predominantly black although I have allowed natural drips of paint to remain in areas.
