No posh frocks allowed! You're definitely going to be flicking paint with this one! There's no getting away from it, sorry! It's a great way to shake off the nerves and anxiety right from the start, before heading into the more intricate detail of the poppies.
Have you ever fancied having a go at painting but never felt confident enough to join in with a class full of strangers? All the anxieties of "am I good enough", "everyone else may be much better than me", "I don't know anyone there" etc etc. Well, I have a solution for you. Grab the people and surroundings you are most relaxed with and enjoy bringing the workshop to your doorstep!
I provide all materials, you just need to create your own party of people. A mix of those individuals you can have a laugh with, feel comfortable around and would love to share a fun experience with. If for a special occasion, you can decorate your own space or venue accordingly.
If this sounds like something you'd like to consider, simply get in touch and let's get creative. I can advise on which workshop may be best to suit the venue or occasion, as some workshops are 'messier' or more challenging than others.
$80 per person

With Happy Hour you have such a fun and playful piece of art to take home with you. It's a workshop for those of you who are open to a few 'splashes' here and there. You have to trust the process with this workshop which is built up of surprisingly simple steps. We use rags, brushes and a cool little tool which gives you the ability to draw with paint.
Definitely the most basic of all the workshops. Tulips is a perfect introduction to the 'non believers' who think they can't paint. You can allow yourself to loosen up a bit and allow those 'paint drips' to fall. I use simplified techniques to create lines and shapes across the canvas using rags, stamp tools, pipettes and brushes.
Please take a look at what real people, like you, have achieved in some of my past workshops.
If this doesn't motivate you to give one a try, then I don't know what will.
They are awesome!
I believe this workshop is rather therapeutic due to it's repetitive nature. We use rags, stamp tools, stencils and a fun tool which enables you to almost doodle your way to the finish line. One of my favourites and excellent for a more structured, but playful end result.
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
The goals I have with my workshops are to firstly have fun! I see it more as a few hours of trying something new and maybe even being surprised at what you've achieved. I'm not expecting masterpieces from anyone, although I do know that many of my 'pupils' have been proud enough to hang their paintings on the wall at home.
I work hard at breaking down each painting into layers that are achievable and guide you through each stage. I compare it to baking a cake as in, we add ingredients here and there and hopefully we end up with a cake we're proud of.
Of course, a lot of first attempts aren't as perfect as we'd like but we have still learned from the experience and have discovered new skills and whilst I would rather you walk away with something you're proud of, it's the 'giving it a go' mentality that matters.
My painting tools aren't limited to paint brushes, I use a multitude of bits and pieces which create shapes and lines across the canvas. I vary the techniques up, in an attempt that you find some element of the workshop you may feel you excelled at.
Alternatively, if you'd like to join a class of individuals, please get in touch to register your interest.
Please state which workshop you'd like to attend and I will let you know when my next will be.
