What started out as an idea to create 'simpler' alternatives to portraiture, has now evolved into painting illustrations which have become more and more detailed over time.  That level of detail just crept back in....I couldn't help myself!

What I love about these illustrations is how it demonstrates how well we know our pets.  Even looking at them from behind, their little quirks still show.  It could be a wonky ear, a super fluffy tail, certain markings or a lumpy and bumpy body!  ​Believe me, if I didn't follow their contours perfectly, you would know.

So although the essence has remained the same, (keeping the simplicity of the pose from behind, eliminating the need for facial features and backgrounds) through personalised requests, the illustrations occasionally change direction which is always welcome.  Either way, my clients have loved them!  Whether they have bought for themselves or for someone's big occasion, they have all been so well received and become such special keepsakes.  Not just of dogs either, all animals are welcome!  The images below showcase a few of the commissions I have received and the style/quality you can expect.

​Prices start from $100 for an A5 illustration (view from behind). A pose from the front (ie with facial features) on A4 will start from $250. However one size really doesn't fit all so please contact me for your personalised quote.
